The location was countryside, right by the channel tunnel, the village of River and public transportations. Affable staff that liked their guests. Had a really really nice stay on our first visit there, would return there.

It was in a perfect location next to a quiet area, local pub, the Royal Oak and a good size garden at the rear overlooking woodland. You can find The Mandarin Fusion around 4-6 minutes away by foot from the hotel to a have lunch. The lounge area served a good choice of meals for breakfast.

It was a nice hotel, no complaints whatsoever, would recommend. Everything was good, so were excellent views over the rolling hills. I got a reasonably large room and the staff were pretty friendly. Restaurant food was outstanding.

All in all, it was excellent place for travelling to Dover. Greatly enjoyed guest room I booked, it was outstanding. The location was great and fantastic and the room was fairly clean. The hotel was set in a peaceful area. A ferry port was so close to the property: )
